About Silk
Silk is one of the most luxurious and sought after fabrics in the world. Its history can be traced back to ancient China, where it was first discovered and developed.
According to legend, the discovery of silk was made by the Chinese Empress Xi Ling Shi. She was walking in her garden when she noticed a cocoon spinning around a mulberry tree. Intrigued, she took the cocoon and started unravelling it. She was amazed by the fine and delicate thread that emerged and from that moment, silk production began.
